Stephanie Rose is a Peruvian-American cinematographer based in Phoenix, Arizona, working across documentary, commercial, and narrative projects.
Her documentary work has taken her across continents, exploring a range of powerful topics – from religious minorities in Egypt and police violence in England to water rights in the US-Mexico borderlands. Her films have been featured in The New York Times, Bloomberg, and Al Jazeera. Stephanie holds an MA in Screen Documentary from Goldsmiths, University of London.
In the commercial space, she has worked with brands such as Google Nonprofit, L’Oréal, and the WNBA. In 2024, she lensed the narrative short BASTARD, a dark comedy about reproductive rights.
Deeply curious about the realms of the unseen, Stephanie is also a certified death doula and a dedicated student of indigenous dreamwork traditions. She enjoys bringing a reverence for the mysterious into her image-making practice.
