In Birmingham, England, four officers sit trial for willfully lying about the death of Kingsley Burrell in police custody. The trial itself--unfilmmable, unrecordable--is a central character we never meet. Through a fractured retelling of the events outside the courtroom, the story of Kingsley’s death slowly emerges.
