Stephanie Rose is a Peruvian-American cinematographer based in Phoenix, Arizona. She specializes in crafting compelling documentaries and branded content, and her client list includes Netflix, Google, Bravo, Bloomberg, and the New York Times. She holds an MA in Screen Documentary from Goldsmiths, University of London, where she studied as a 2013 Marshall Scholar. In addition to her industry work, she has championed grassroots media creation throughout her career. In 2018, Stephanie co-founded ¡Wáchale!, a people's cinema spotlighting Latin American films, in collaboration with the Phoenix-based LGBTQ+ migrant collective Trans Queer Pueblo. In 2019, serving as the Unit Production Manager on Apache Leap, a feature film shot on the San Carlos Apache reservation, Stephanie helped train Apache youth for their inaugural film crew experience. In 2021, she collaborated with Made In Her Image, teaching cinematography skills to BIPOC women and girls while establishing pathways for their entry into the film industry. Beyond her cinematic pursuits, Stephanie is a certified death doula and a dedicated student of indigenous dreamwork traditions. Her profound curiosity about the "unseen" realms of dreams and the afterlife significantly influences her cinematography practice, which revolves around the art of bringing subconscious images into consciousness.
